Watch as Dr. Mintzer, a MKSAP 19 audio companion contributor, recounts a 'gee-whiz' case in which a chronic myelogenous leukemia patient presents with new symptoms that create a concern of blast crisis acute leukemia. Fortunately, a laboratory technician discovers a parasitic infection and the patient was treated for Babesiosis.

Dr. David M. Mintzer is an Oncologist and Hematologist in Philadelphia, PA and has over 40 years of experience in the medical field. Dr. Mintzer is a Clinical Professor of Medicine and graduated from the Thomas Jefferson University Sidney Kimmel Medical College in Philadelphia. He serves as chief of the Hematology and Medical Oncology Section at Pennsylvania Hospital and his specialties include Hematology and Medical Oncology.
