Join us as Oakstone CME’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Don Deye, sits down with Fred Lopez, MD, for a casual conversation after a recording session for the MKSAP 19 audio companion.
In this video, Dr. Lopez, a MKSAP 19 audio companion contributor, reminds us that fevers are not always associated with an infection. Learn about a patient whose chief complaint and presenting fever led to the discovery of a 6cm x 6cm mass, or cardiac myxoma, in the left atrium.
Dr. Fred Lopez is the Richard Vial Professor and Vice Chair of Education in the Department of Medicine and Section of Infectious Diseases at the Louisiana State University (LSU) School of Medicine-New Orleans. He is a graduate of the LSU School of Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine Residency, Chief Residency and Infectious Diseases Fellowship at Stanford University.
